Jindowie is an attractive option for all types of homeowners, from busy families, expecting couples or first home buyers, it is the ideal place to create lifelong memories. There are so many things to love about living in Jindowie, the close proximity to the beach, the wildlife only metres away and overall, the landscape that surrounds home. But don’t just take our word for it! We spoke to some of our residents to find out what they love about life at Jindowie.

Introducing Che and Elle, both 23 years of age and recently engaged. They have been saving up for their first home for a few years now and we found out why they chose to start their future here and some of their favourite things about the estate. Have a read below as to what makes Jindowie so special to them and why they’ll never look back…

Why did you choose a land estate?
Originally, we were not looking at land estates, we just wanted to be somewhere close to family in Mindarie. Once our new homes consultant suggested Jindowie, we were a little hesitant as we felt it was further North than we had originally planned. Soon after we visited the land estate we were pleasantly surprised with the blocks and land on offer and knew this was the place! We also loved that it was only twenty minutes from family and at a price we felt was exceptionally reasonable, especially with Yanchep Lagoon a few minutes’ drive away.

What are some key reasons you chose Jindowie estate?
We decided to build our home in Jindowie because of the ‘family feel’ within the estate. Jindowie felt like a friendly environment and we liked that it was surrounded by parks. Yanchep Lagoon was one of the biggest selling points with it being so close, it’s perfect for a dip on a hot day in WA. Also, it’s a bonus with the shops being so close, Woolworths and Aldi are within walking distance making our weekly shop so handy.

What attracted you to Yanchep over other suburbs?
The main attraction for us was the price. Compared to other coastal areas ultimately the price was right for us and we were pleasantly surprised with the size of the land that we purchased. Compared to other suburbs close to the beach, Jindowie had a larger plot at a more affordable price.

What was the process like from beginning to end?
The building process was awesome! At the time, it seems like the build is going so slowly as you just want to be in your home quickly, however, now looking back we see how quick and smooth the process was for us. We signed land and building contracts in October 2019 and we had the keys to our new home in July 2020. We feel extremely lucky as we understand the devastation that last year brought including COVID19 and the bushfires. We received regular updates from our builder and overall had a positive experience. We could not fault our new homes consultant, no question was too silly, she was completely professional and made our first home dreams come true!

What was your favourite part about building your new home?
Our favourite part about building our own home was receiving the keys. The feeling of walking into your own home for the first time is one that we will never forget. It felt like all our hard work over the past few years was totally worthwhile. We also found our pre-start meeting such an exciting experience where we got to make all our selections for our new home.

What are your favourite things to do in the neighbourhood (e.g any walking spots, beach, parks, trails etc)?
Our favourite thing to do is go to Yanchep Lagoon for a dip in the sea. We also love to go to Orion café for breakfast or lunch, the view is epic and the food is always amazing…we feel so lucky that we have these experiences on our doorstep.

What is your favourite thing about living in Jindowie?
The ‘family feel’, it’s a quiet estate surrounded by lots of families and we love that homely feeling here.

What do you love about the Yanchep community?
Everyone is really friendly, and it has a lovely, relaxed feeling.

Your favourite coffee spot, dinner place or drinks spot?
Orion café at Yanchep Lagoon is our go to. We also like Yanchep Pizza as it’s walking distance and the perfect takeaway treat. There are also lots of bars on the beach which are not too far away, one of our favourites is The Beach House for cocktails, it has a real ‘holiday feel’.

What would you say to someone who is thinking about building in Jindowie?
You won’t regret it! It’s an awesome estate, close to the beach and only 45 minutes to the city. The size of the blocks are great and excellent value for money. We are so happy that we built here and would recommend it to anyone thinking of building or buying here.

We’re so happy for Che and Elle and have loved watching their building process from start to finish…here’s to the next chapter! If you’re inspired by this story and want to find out how you can join them in this ever-growing suburb, get in touch with our friendly sales team.
