Yanchep Lagoon
Yanchep Lagoon is one of the gems of the WA coastline, home to crystal-clear waters that make it a popular local swimming spot. The reef surrounding the lagoon creates shallow waters for those who don’t like to swim out deep. This makes it ideal for family snorkelling adventures, as its calm conditions provide a great opportunity to explore the local marine life. There’s also a café nearby so you can refuel on tasty treats after a day in the sun.

Nippers is a great way for the little ones to learn about surf safety and awareness through fun group activities that keep kids engaged and help build confidence. Not only will they have fun and make new friends, they’ll also be a part of an iconic Australian organisation that has served the community for more than 100 years. The Nipper’s program is targeted at kids aged from 5 to 13, and it’s a great way to enjoy the beach and meet your community.
Bike Riding
Yanchep offers all sorts of outdoor activities ideal for those long summer days. One of the best ways to explore the bushlands and national parks close to home is to jump on a bike. Going for a ride by yourself, with friends or with the family is a great way to soak up the sights while getting in your 30 minutes of daily exercise. Popular bike routes in Yanchep you might want to include are Lunch Loop, Marmion Avenue and the Yanchep to Mindarie track.
