We have had a look around Yanchep to bring you a list of the best camping and fishing spots for you and your family to explore.

Fishing Spots

Yanchep Lagoon

Yanchep Lagoon, undoubtedly one of the most popular swimming and snorkelling beaches north of Perth, is a hugely popular fishing spot too!

Here, you’ll l find an array of fish in the waters of the lagoon such as Tailor, Herring and Whiting. Just make sure you stay at the end of the beach away from all the swimmers.

Two Rocks

Just an 8-minute drive from Yanchep, Two Rocks Beach is the perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of Perth as the beach is long and never crowded. Not only do the clear waters make it a great swimming spot but it’s one of the only places in Perth that you can catch Dhufish straight off the beach!

Two Rocks Marina and The Beaches North of Two Rocks

The marina at Two Rocks is another good fishing spot.  Set up on the jetty of the docks and you have a high chance of catching Skippy, Herring and Tailor. Or set off in a boat and you’ll find much more offshore.

The area north of Two Rocks contains some 4wd tracks that allow fishers to move up and down the coast. Look for patches of reef where you can fish for Tailor. Dawn and dusk are the best times to fish for Tailor – especially when the tide is coming in.
