We’ve had a look around Jindowie and made a list of the swimming and snorkelling spots to soak up the sun this summer.
Yanchep Lagoon
No doubt you’ve heard of Yanchep Lagoon, but it would be sin not to include this local gem on the list. The reef shelters the beach from large waves and big, underwater animals, with Yanchep Surf Life Saving Club patrolling in summer, making it a safe swimming spot for children. The crystal, clear waters and abundant aquatic life also make it a great place to snorkel and explore.
Fisherman’s Hollow
At the other end of Yanchep Beach, an easy three-minute drive from home, you’ll find Fisherman’s Hollow. This calm lagoon has both great swimming and snorkelling and is a good option to explore when Yanchep Lagoon is looking a little too crowded.
Two Rocks
Only nine minutes from Jindowie, stretches of white sand and calm, clear waters await you at Two Rocks. Not only is this beach the ideal place to escape the hustle and bustle but it’s dog-friendly and has a newly installed playground, making it the perfect spot for the whole family to cool off this summer.
