There’s plenty of reasons why we love Jindowie, its proximity to the beach, bushland right on your doorstep and the overall sense of community. It’s an attractive option for all types of homeowners, from busy families, expecting couples or first home buyers, it really is the perfect place to build your dream home.

Introducing Jamie (30) and Chris (27); newlyweds with two children (a five-year-old girl and a 9-month-old baby boy). They signed their land contract back in February 2020 and chose to build in the land estate because they wanted to be a part of a community. We chatted to them to find out why they chose to call Jindowie home:

Why did you choose Jindowie estate?

Jindowie and Yanchep are on the up and up. The growth is happening so fast, and we’re so excited to be a part of that! The block of land we’ve built on is right near a beautiful park full of gumtrees, school is within walking distance and we’re so close to everything. Unlike other suburbs, here you get that country/coastal vibe that we love with all the convenience of being close to supermarkets and cafes. The developments that are coming with the train line and the Freeway being extended is also a plus. We also love being close to the National Parks because we enjoy being among the trees.

What’s the building process been like for your family?

The building process with MOMU has been great. Our slab went down in February 2021 and we’re due to move in August. We live close by, so we’ve been able to watch the build very closely. Our site supervisor and client liaison have also been amazing, they’ve been so quick to get back to our million questions!

What’s been your favourite part about building your new home?

Watching every stage get completed. From slab to plate height, to roof cover, watching our dream come to life has been amazing.

What’s some of the things you’re most excited to do in the neighbourhood? (e.g any walking spots, beach, parks, trails etc)

It’s so important and exciting for us to meet our neighbours and build friendships with them. We want that sense of community. But if you ask our daughter Violet, she’s most excited for the park across the road.

What’s your favourite thing about building and living in Jindowie?

Our favourite thing about building in Jindowie has been that our build has been so secure. We’ve haven’t had anything stolen; we’ve not been broken into. We’ve felt safe which gives us such a good feeling about living here.

What do you love about the Yanchep community?

Everyone looks out for each other and the community Facebook page is very helpful when it comes to sharing camera footage or looking out for things.

Any favourite coffee shop, dinner place or drinks spots so far?

Tilly at Commando coffee is a beautiful soul and she makes great coffee too! She hangs down at the Jindowie sales office most mornings.

We’re so happy for Chris and Jamie and have loved watching their building process so far. We can’t wait to see it all come together. Follow their journey here and watch the next chapter in Jindowie unfold here: @our_palomagrove
